One of my favourite Tumblr features is the queue. I seem to come across interesting things in bursts, and with Tumblr, I can queue them up and only post 2 things per day, so my followers don’t get bombarded all at once.
The Tumblr bookmarklet is great, but it doesn’t provide “add to queue” as an option. So a while ago, I hacked it to do just that.
Queue link on Tumblr – bookmark this and you can use it to queue the current page as a link on your Tumblr blog.
Queue video/embed on Tumblr -bookmark this and you can use it to queue the current video on your Tumblr blog. (This relies on Tumblr’s ability to find the video in the video link you provided.)
I don’t really use Tumblr for other content types like audio or text, but if you feel like hacking these for other content types, or have improvements, please send them along so we can share them here. Also, if you wrote the original bookmarklet, please let me know – I’d credit you here but it’s been so long now that I’ve lost the original link.
