The Social Media team draw their range experience from developing online communities for Nestle, working developing social media tools such as Twidentify, through to working with London-based digital arts group, The People Speak.

For Nestle’s VeryBestBaking community, social media was used with a clear, strategic goal tied to return on investment. As a consumer goods company, intermediation separated the company from its customers. An online community was created to allow the company to learn about its customers, and ultimately to create a direct relationship and increased brand loyalty.

Twidentify is a search tool for Twitter, which allows users to find opinions based on influence. It was created in a few days, and illustrates how small investments can yeild immediate results when creating social media tools.

The People Speak is renowned for developing ideas, technologies and strategies that encourage people to express themselves. One team member developed Talkaoke, a live chat webcast experience that has been used at both Tate Modern and The Edinburgh festival. Another founded Dorkbot, a now well-established technology innovation group, and experts in local knowledge sharing with products such as Open Street Map and Open Guides.
